1) Do not talk to anyone about your case. Insurance companies and their lawyers hire investigators and can often uncover things that you have said to others.
2) Do not sign anything pertaining to your case unless I authorize you to sign it. If you have been in a car accident in West Virginia, documents you sign can come back to haunt you.
3) As I have blogged about before, but I can't emphasize enough, don't make a statement to the insurance comany.
4) Report any suspicious activity to your me, or if you haven't hired me yet, document the activity. Insurance company investigators may have you under surveillance.
5) Keep all appointments you have with me and stay in contact. If you move or change phone numbers, contact my office immediately. This will make sure your case moves along as fast and smoothly as possible.
6) Maintaina diary of the following: a. trips to the doctor, hospital, therapy, pharmacy, and any other trips related to your accident; b. medical expenses; c. out of pocket expenses, including any travel expenses you incure to receive medical treatment; d. pain and anxiety, sleeplessness, depression and alteration of your medications.
